Kilohana Performing Arts Company presents HŌPOE, THE DANCING STONE, a Hawaiian musical play inspired by the poetic compositions and chants of Frank Kawaikapuokalani Hewett. Choreographer/director Rolanda Mohala Reese and the Kilohana Performing Arts Company bring to life the fiery tales of the gods and the Hawaiian people through oli (traditional chanting), kahiko (ancient hula) and auana (modern hula). Musical arrangements by award-winning guitarist and composer Jim Kimo West add to the experience.
