Come learn how Southern California boomed from the ranchos of the past into the cosmopolitan city of today at Heritage Square Museum. An open-air, living history museum since 1969, Heritage Square features eight historic structures, including five Victorian homes, a church and a train station. Through guided tours, changing exhibits, historic gardens, the museum's collections, and annual events and programs, Heritage Square provides visitors with the chance to experience the culture and history of Los Angeles from 1850 to 1950. Heritage Square Museum is the place to see history come alive!

Operated by the Cultural Heritage Foundation of Southern California, Inc., Heritage Square Museum is a private, non-profit, historical museum dedicated to the collection, preservation, and interpretation of the architecture, physical environment, and material culture of Southern California during its first 100 years of statehood. Our open-air museum consists of eight buildings of historical and architectural significance originally built between 1876 and 1899.
