Calling AphroditeInspired by the true story of the “Hiroshima Maidens,” Calling Aphrodite explores mankind’s ability to heal and build a better world. Two Japanese victims of the atom bomb travel to New York for reconstructive surgery. There they discover that the lead plastic surgeon also suffered a critical loss during the war, and the resistance of former enemies collides with the humanity of the Hiroshima Maidens Project.
