The Most Happy Fella

The Most Happy FellaRunning until October 21st at the Westchester Playhouse in South Bay, this show is a story of love, forgiveness, and redemption centered on a lonely grape rancher who brings a mail order bride to Napa under false pretenses. Problems arise immediately and almost end what could be a last chance for both. This revival by the Kentwood Players features Frank Loesser’s stunning music and libretto.

Magnificent Festivals of Tano: Korean Mask Dance-Drama

Korean American Dance AssociationOn October 13th head out to see Kim Eung Hwa Korean Dance Academy return to the Ford Amphitheatre with Korea’s Pongsan Mask Dance-Drama. The event is a cross-Pacific collaboration of Korean and second and third generation Korean-American dancers and musicians. This rare performance in honor of the coming of age festival for Korean girls and a good harvest, features ancient Korean dance, shamanic rituals, mask dance drama, fan dances and drumming.
