Reminder: Special Holiday Free Fares on the Metro

LA MetroDon't forget that Metro is offering a special Holiday Free Fare Program for all Metro Bus and Rail lines operating on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

This program will be in effect between 9pm and 2am only on the nights and early morning hours of Dec 24th-25th and Dec 31st-Jan 1st.

Strange New WorldOn January 12th the Santa Monica Museum of Art's opening party for Strange New World: Art and Design from Tijuana/Extraño (Nuevo Mundo: Arte y diseño desde Tijuana) celebrates Tijuana's cutting-edge electronic music scene with contributions from some of the city's top DJs and VJs. There will be music from globo-pop master DJ Rafa Dro, Radio Global mixologist DJ Wero, and cumbia masher DJ Chucuchu, plus the super-charged demolitions of Tijuana's most in-demand visual collagist, VJ Sal.

Beginning at 11:59pm & 30 seconds, one firework will be shot into the air each second from the south jetty in Marina del Rey, counting down to 12 midnight.
