A festive day is expected by all who attend this year’s Los Angeles Black Book Expo (LABBX). This year, the expo celebrates the diversity of the written and spoken word along with promoting emerging authors, poetry performances in our Spoken Worlds pavilion, a children’s corner, engaging panel discussions and workshops with more to come.
The L.A. Black Book Expo will be held Saturday, August 11 from 12 Noon to 6:00 pm inside the Los Angeles Convention Center. For the eighth year, this literary event has been on the rise attracting prominent and celebrity authors across the nation. Founded by Itibari M. Zulu, Th.D, the mission of the expo is to expose the public to independently published books, encourage reading, and to showcase authors, editors, publishers, scholars, and writers.
Prior to the expo, an opening night reception for exhibitors, book clubs and organizers to meet and mingle. The time and place will be announced at a later date and the reception is by invitation only.
