Set on a wooded hill with views to Downtown Los Angeles, Rio Hondo College has been a vital resource of education and training for its diverse community for over 40 years. It offers the public a dynamic series of visual and performing arts events that both entertain and challenge, including: professional gallery exhibitions; concerts of classical, pop, jazz, world, and new music; original and award-winning plays; contemporary and ethnic dance performances; international and independent films; and lectures by distinguished speakers and visiting scholars.

In addition, the college's Division of Arts & Cultural Programs is dedicated to fostering the talent and creative vision of its students, whose work it also showcases throughout the year on its stages and screens and in its galleries.
