Directed by Juang Yi-tzeng and Yen Lan-chuan, the film melds the personal and the political, bringing the countrys past to life through the stories of individuals who lived through it. The film stars Tien Meng-shu Tien Chao-ming and Tien Chiu-chin. The running time is 140 minutes, with dialog spoken in Hoklo, Mandarin and Japanese with Chinese and English subtitles.
