Description

We Tell Stories, LAs acclaimed childrens storytelling theatre company, celebrates the County of Los Angeles Public Library Summer Reading program "Dream Big Read!" at the Culver City Julian Dixon Library with a performance of "Animal Dreams" on Wednesday, July 11th, at 2pm. This 45 minute show features animal stories by well known authors (The Cat Who Became a Poet by Margaret Mahy, The Wind Says Goodnight by Katy Rydell, Dragons and Giants by Arnold Lobel), a fable by Aesop (The Hare and the Tortoise), and plenty of audience participation. Parents and kids will delight in this family activity that is both entertaining, as well as culturally enriching. The Culver City Julian Dixon Library is located at 4975 Overland Ave, Culver City, 90230, phone #310-559-1676. Admission is free.

With a repertoire of twelve touring shows, We Tell Stories brings classic literature and folk tales to life in libraries, theaters, schools, museums., festivals, and special events. Our goals are to inspire creativity, enhance literacy, cultivate intercultural awareness and harmony, and spark a love of theatre and spoken word.

This performance is made possible in part by a grant from The City of Culver City Performing Arts Grant Program with support from Sony Pictures Entertainment. The Culver City Julian Dixon Library is part of the County of Los Angeles Public Library: www.colapublib.org.
