Misty Copeland, the highly acclaimed American Ballet Theatre soloist and South Bay Ballet alumni, returns to the Southland to lend her star power by hosting a benefit for South Bay Ballet. The event dubbed "Its Misty in August" will feature two afternoon dancer workshops and an evening dinner on Sunday, August 12. Lauridsen Ballet Centre will host the workshops lead by Copeland; while South Bay Ballet benefactors Ram and Lillian Mittal will open their Rolling Hills Estates home for a Mediterranean style dinner. Both workshop and benefit dinner attendees will have the opportunity to meet Copeland in person. Advance tickets are required for all events.
