A. M. Homes is the author of the memoir The Mistresss Daughter and the novels This Book Will Change Your Life, Music for Torching, and The Safety of Objects. Her new novel, May We Be Forgiven, takes a darkly comic look at 21st-century domestic life. Homes lives in New York City.
