The SPACIOUS VISION Song Project announces concerts in observance of World AIDS Day 2012. Songs and poetry from the AIDS Quilt Songbook will stand at the center of each concert. Conceived 20 years ago as a musical document of the growing AIDS epidemic, the AIDS Quilt Songbook is a powerful testament to the engagement of poets, composers and performers with the personal and societal impact of HIV/AIDS. The program will also include songs by Leonard Bernstein, Benjamin Britten, and Ralph Vaughn Williams. The roster of accomplished performers will include: Diana Burbano (South Coast Repertory Theater, film and television), Christopher L. Reed (Piano, Eastman School of Music, Rochester, NY), Gerald Seminatore (Tenor, opera and art song performer in the USA and Europe), and John Seesholtz (Baritone, advocate for the AIDS Quilt Songbook, prize-winning singer).
