Description

2013 LA International New Music Festival

The 2nd annual festival offers new works by composers from Asia, Mexico, Latin America, Europe and the US performed by two-time Grammy Award-winning ensemble Southwest Chamber Music. Premieres of works by Anne LeBaron, Unsuk Chin, Gabriela Ortiz, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Charles Wuorinen, John Cage, Roger Reynolds, Lei Liang, Elliott Carter and others throughout the festival. 8:00 p.m. at The Colburn School. Preceded at 7:00 p.m. by a discussion with visiting composers and musicians moderated by legendary radio personality Martin Perlich and Southwest Artistic Director Jeff von der Schmidt. Festival dates are January 26, February 2, February 23, and March 2.
