Experience two days of family fun at the Juneteenth Heritage Festival, in Leimert Park Village. On Saturday, ride horses and ponies with Lester Sims and the cowboys of color featuring the riding and roping tricks of 17 year-old, Juan Caldera. Do a little two-steppin with Vanessa Bailey and the Nubian Boot Scooters also with Guys and Dolls. The Digital Don, Jim Neusom will have you learning computer code and building your own app in no time in the Urban Tech Fair tent. Simulate flight high in the sky on computer-based flight simulators, courtesy of Robin Petgraves Tomorrows Aeronautical Museum.

Order good food, shop world class vendors for arts and crafts, and one-of-a-kind boutique designs for your brides, grads and Dads.

On Sunday there will be gospel music in the air, and praise dancing everywhere when the Deyempart Dancers and Darlene Smith take the stage. Then well take it up a notch with Hishaam, fresh from Dubai, wholl debut his hit Freedom. Well hold a special Ribbon Tying Ceremony for the Peace Pole installation in Leimert Park and boogie down the Soul Train line with KJLH until dark.

Theres no better place to celebrate 150 years of Freedom than the Juneteenth Heritage Festival in Leimert Park. See you there!
