Description

The Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery, in conjunction with the Municipal Art Gallery Associates, an organizational support group, is pleased to present a silent auction. The work of over 100 artists will be available for auction, including work by Lynn Aldrich, Jack Butler, Fredrick Fisher, Phyllis Green, Eric Johnson, Tom Knechtel, Constance Mallinson, Gwynn Murrill, John Outterbridge, Frank Romero, Sylvia Shap, Jennifer Steinkamp, Carolee Toon, Paul Tzanetopoulos, Joyce Wisdom, and Stanley Wilson, among others. Bids can be placed at any time during the length of the exhibition. The Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery is the City’s preeminent exhibition space; proceeds from the sale of auction artwork will support the gallery’s exhibition and education programs and offset ongoing budget constraints. Artists selected for the silent auction include past grant recipients, past Gallery exhibitors, and artists from the Cultural Affairs Department Slide Registry. Pieces in the exhibition include works on paper, paintings, photographs, and sculpture.
