Founded in Santa Monica in 1988, 18th Street Arts Center is dedicated to the advancement of contemporary art and culture as expressed through artists working with issues of social consciousness, community, diversity and beauty. With its 1.2-acre facility in Santa Monica, California, 18th Street provides a physical center for contemporary art in a region characterized by its de-centralization.
