The Geffen Playhouse opened its doors in 1995. Noted for it's intimacy, the Geffen is celebrated for its world-renowned mix of classic and contemporary plays, provocative new works and musicals. The main stage seats 522 and the intimate Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater at the Geffen Playhouse seats between 120-135 depending on the production.
