The Division facilitates access to cultural opportunities for Santa Monica residents and visitors, helps attract and anchor a large and diverse creative sector that enriches the City's cultural and economic base, and promotes Santa Monica as a major cultural destination.The Division serves the community through the following programs and services: Organizational support and program grants to local non-profit arts/cultural organizations; Technical assistance to artists and cultural organizations; A diverse array of high quality peformances in all artistic disciplines at Miles Playhouse; Community festivals such as the Santa Monica Festival and other outdoor community cultural events; Public art in major new City capital improvement projects and in the City's extensive collection of displayed permanent and portable works; Cultural programs at City parks and community facilities, including the Miles Memorial Playhouse, Annenberg Community Beach House, and festivals in various City parks.
