The Corita Art Center is dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of works by internationally renowned serigrapher Corita Kent, the former Immaculate Heart nun who came to be known simply as Corita. Works spanning her career--from early neo-gothic, through her social justice and "pop" art of the 1960s, ending with her spiritually rich pastels--are exhibited in the gallery and also for sale. As head of the Immaculate Heart College art department, Corita was an educator as well as an artist. Therefore the Corita Art Center offers free arts workshops on the second Sunday of each month.
