STAR ECO Station is a non-profit environmental science education and wildlife rescue center dedicated to “Preservation Through Education.” We offer the most innovative, interactive and inspiring environmental education programs for our students and the community, as well as Education Outreach programs in over 40 California school districts. In collaboration with environmental and government agencies, the STAR ECO Station provides rescue and rehabilitation of illegal or abandoned at-risk exotic wildlife at our animal sanctuary and teaching facility in Culver City, designed by Hollywood set designers to transport visitors to a tropical jungle setting!Visitors study ecology and environmentalism on a wild and fun encounter with rescued tropical birds, exotic reptiles, wildcats, ocean life and 15 educational displays, including a walk through the Santa Monica BayKeeper’s Kelp Forest display. Through interactive tours, assemblies, classroom instruction, fieldtrips and superb community events, STAR ECO Station annually serves over 1 million learners of all ages. The STAR ECO Station hosts a variety of special events throughout the year, including community events, workshops, conferences and birthday parties. Open to the public on WEEKENDS ONLY.
