Descanso Gardens, a 160-acre botanic garden in La Canada, boasts the largest camellia collection in North America, a six-acre Rose Garden, Japanese Garden, native plant area, lilac garden and seasonal horticultural displays. Thousands of school children participate in Descanso's nature education programs. Adults and children enjoy seasonal festivals and year-round classes.
