The Los Angeles Zoo is a fun-filled educational adventure for the entire family. Visitors can view more than 1,200 animals representing 370 different species. Highlights include the new Sea Lion Cliffs with underwater viewing of California sea lions, Dragons of Komodo with the world's largest lizard, Winnick Family Children's Zoo and contact area, Red Ape Rain Forest, Chimpanzees of Mahale Mountains and zoo favorites including koalas, lions, tigers, giraffes, hippos, and rhinos. The Zoo's Botanical collection is comprised of over 7,400 plants, making the Los Angeles Zoo a true urban oasis.
