If you're not already familiar with the treasures of the East Village Arts District, start by attending the 2nd Saturday ArtWalk, a free gathering taking place the second Saturday of each month. The al fresco event features a variety of emerging artists working in all mediums, as well as live entertainment and food. Many of the shops, galleries and restaurants are abuzz with artists and enthusiasts.
