The San Gabriel Mission Playhouse, formerly known as the Civic Auditorium, is a historic Performing Arts Center in Southern California. The theatre returned to it's original name in the Fall of 2007 and is known as the Crown Jewel of the San Gabriel Mission District. Providing one of the largest stages in Southern California, the theater seats over 1300 people and has become the theater of choice for discriminating celebrities, producers, artistic directors and patrons alike. The Playhouse has been described by countless entertainment critics as, "Magnificent," "Startlingly Beautiful," "Majestic," and "A Brilliantly Conceived Showplace."
