Description

The Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center is located on the campus of College of the Canyons, a California community college located at 26455 Rockwell Canyon Road, Santa Clarita, CA 91355. The $18.3-million facility boasts a spectacular proscenium theater with a state-of-the-art sound system and 900 seats, as well as an experimental “black box” theater. Funded by the State of California ($15.9 million) and the City of Santa Clarita ($2.4 million), the center features instructional, community and professional entertainment and informational programs.

The Performing Arts Center is a 47,000-square-foot facility that houses a 7,500-square-foot proscenium stage, an experimental “black box” theater with flexible seating, and 886 to 926 seats in the main theater, depending on performance configurations. Designed with a green room, scene shops, costume and property storage, orchestra pit, make-up/dressing room areas, lockers, showers, ticket booth and snack bar, the Performing Arts Center is a one-of-a-kind performance destination for community members in the Santa Clarita Valley.
