In 1980, Kim Eung Hwa founded the Los Angeles Korean Dance Academy. Today, academy serves the greater community of its present location, in the heart of Koreatown, as it strives to preserve the art of Korean Traditional Dance and Music. The Academy actively engages in the promotion of cultural awareness and exchange through performances in non-native venues. The Academy is under the umbrella of the Los Angeles Performing Arts School, a non- profit organization institution committed to community enrichment by providing comprehensive training in the performing arts to people of all ages.
