Plaza Mexico in Lynwood, California is a 650,000 square foot space of 250 stores, restaurants, entertainment and offices. It is surrounded by Long Beach Boulevard, State Street, Imperial Highway and the 105 freeway. Its design is inspired by the ancient city of Monte Alban, which is now an archaeological site. The plaza was designed to bring people together and celebrate the Mexican culture. Architectural elements found in Mexico City, Guadalajara and Oaxaca are all found at Plaza Mexico.
