Playwrights’ Arena is the only theatre dedicated to discovering, nurturing and producing original works for the stage written exclusively by Los Angeles artists. The Arena gives local playwrights a home where they can advance their craft through its series of readings, workshops and round table discussions. The Arena encourages playwrights to write original, adventurous, daring materials with the intent of challenging the mind, touching the heart and provoking the spirit. The Arena productions are presented at various venues including Los Angeles Theater Center, Studio/Stage and The Underground Theatre in Hollywood.
